2010 to 2011's E-Cig Reviews
Although the best electronic cigarettes on the market have largely retained their status on our ratings over the past year, we have seen many technological developments and newcomers arrive on the scene. Still, customer service, starter kit price, replacement cartridge price, warranties and guarantees are the driving factors in our ratings. Below is a sampling of our best electronic cigarette reviews for the beginning of 2011:
#1 Top E-Cig for 2011 - Green Smoke (Overall Value):
Green Smoke has consistently rated a top e-cig because among all others in the industry, it has the highest ratings in each category. Their customer service department responds quickly to all issues, honoring the warranty and product guarantees with quick replacement shipping for any technical problems. Somewhat related to this is the fact that we have seen an improvement to both the battery and the cartridges this month, showing a devotion to enhancing their product line. And of course, in terms of cost, the Green Smoke replacement cartridge still offers the best bang for your buck.
#2 Best Electronic Cigarette - Smoke Tip (Economical):
Smoke Tip offers a product that we have long recommended to cost-conscious shoppers. For those not yet committed to switching from traditional to electronic cigarettes, Smoke Tip sells starter kits at significantly lower prices than competitors, with a better than average quality product. Replacement cartridges are also sold at a good price for their actual life. And while their customer service system may be less sophisticated than others, we have yet to receive any negative reports from customers regarding the product warranties and guarantees.
#3 Top E-Cig - Safe Cig (Best New E-Cig):
This year we wanted to make sure some of the newer companies received a mention in our ratings, and Safe Cig has been a pleasant surprise. Already, this company has come out with a similar product to Green Smoke, utilizing the simpler and less maintenance-intensive 2 piece design. And while flavor choice is a bit less than its competitors, we have been impressed with the range of cartridge strengths offered through Safe Cig. And that is how Safe Cig has captured our number three spot.
#4 Best Electronic Cigarette - South Beach Smoke (Most Innovative):
Another newcomer to the bunch, South Beach Smoke arrived on the scene with a plan we could definitely get behind. This is the first company to offer a premium starter kit with the opportunity to spread the entry cost over several months (much like subsidized mobile phone plans). Additionally, the customer is able to tailor automatic shipments of replacement cartridges to his use of the product, eliminating the need to go online periodically to order more cartridges. We believe that South Beach Smoke will be a major player this year as the company expands its customer base.
#5 Top E-Cig - NJOY (Established Brand):
Like any older company in an industry, NJOY is one of the brands that created the electronic cigarette market. We wanted to mention this group because they still offer a great electronic cigarette, with great flavor and product variety, and demonstrate a dedication to innovation (having introduced their own 2 piece design this year). We also like NJOY because they are on the front lines of the battle against government intervention into the market, having been through some of the FDA seizures and in other e-cig related litigation. They are definitely a group we admire.
